Anthonia Omenogoh OSHINIWE is a Legal Practitioner, Historian and a teacher by Profession
She has dedicated her last twenty years to the protection of Children and Women and enforcement of
Human Rights. Her legal practice is focused on family law and gender based violence.
She’s a community builder, leader and has been a frontier in the war against all forms of Gender
Based/Domestic Violence in Kwara State and has worked assiduously in the advancement of the
Domestication of the Violence Against Person’s (Prohibition) Act in the State.
She’s a graduate of Media Academy Campaign to End Female Genital Mutilation in Nigeria.
She currently champions Theios Caregivers Initiative and an affiliate to the following committees/networks:
- She is a National officer of Child Protection Network,
- Kwara State Focal Person of the Association Against Child, Sexual, and Gender Based Violence.
- The President, Kwara State CSO platform on Sexual and Gender Based Violence.
- The Secretary to the Legal Aid Committee of the International Federation of Women Lawyers ( FIDA Kwara).
- The Secretary, Kwara State Child Rights Implementation Committee
- A member of the Kwara State 21man committee on Sexual and Gender Based Violence
- She is a Peace Ambassador with the Institute for Economics and Peace
- A member of Rotary International,
- A member of the Nigeria Bar Association,
- A member of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association
- A member of the Young Africa Leaders Initiative ( Kwara Hub)
- A member of the African Youth Chaplaincy Corps.
She loves public speaking, volunteering and spends quality time with love ones and victims/survival of
gender based violence.
